ALTe is developing range extended electric powertrains focusing initially on fleet vehicles such as taxis, limos, delivery trucks, vans and shuttle buses in the light to medium duty vehicle classes.

The fuel savings achievable in fleet vehicles using range extended electric powertrains makes economic sense for fleet operators today and is a superior solution to parallel hybrids or all-electric vehicles.

The powertrains will be available through a nationwide network of conversions facilities for used vehicles, and ALTe also expects to sell and license its powertrains to existing OEMs.

ALTe powertrains will deliver equal or better performance at a fraction of the operating cost of comparable gasoline powered vehicles.

Significant improvements in lithium ion battery technology and manufacturing will make vehicles powered by electricity even more attractive economically to fleet owners and average consumers.
